AI Text Detector

AI Detector_

Paste in up to 2,500 words and we'll give it a brutally honest read: is this AI-generated, and exactly why we think so. Em dashes, stock phrases and suspiciously perfect paragraphs get named and shamed.

What it actually checks

No AI detector is perfect, ours included. But these are the same tells most humans spot too, just measured properly instead of guessed at.

Em dashes

Language models love them. Real writers mostly don't. Every single one gets counted and highlighted in your text.

Stock phrases

"Delve into", "unlock the potential of", "in today's digital age". If your text reads like a LinkedIn thought-leader wrote it, we'll find it.

Rhythm and variety

AI writing tends toward suspiciously even sentence lengths and a narrow vocabulary. We measure both and let the model judge the rest.

AI detector FAQ

How accurate is this AI detector?

Honestly? No AI detector is bulletproof, including the paid ones. This tool combines hard evidence (em dashes, stock AI phrases, sentence rhythm, word variety) with a judgement call from the model itself. Treat the verdict as a strong hint and a laugh, not a courtroom exhibit.

Why does it care so much about em dashes?

Large language models lean on the em dash hard, far more than most human writers do. One or two is nothing. A paragraph stitched together with them is a classic tell, so we count and highlight every single one.

What other patterns does it look for?

Stock phrases like "delve into", "in today's digital age" and "unlock the potential of", oddly uniform sentence lengths, low word variety (the same handful of words on repeat), and an overall lack of mess, opinion or specificity that real writing usually has.

Can it be tricked?

Easily, by anyone who edits the obvious tells out. That's true of every AI detector on the market. It's a good first read, not a polygraph.

Is my text stored anywhere?

No. Your text is sent to our server purely to run the check and is not saved or used for anything else once the result comes back.
